A New Venture Part 2

Blaze yawned, stretching as she awoke back in her room in the castle.  She blinked, sitting up.  "How did I get here…?"
Sonic flew by as a blur.  She got up and slipped her coat on, dashing after him.  "Sonic!"
Sonic turned, running backwards through the hall.  "Oh, Blaze, you're awake!"
Blaze looked at him, her head tilted slightly.  "What happened?"
Sonic skid to a halt just before hitting the wall, Blaze plowing into him having no time to stop.  Sonic laughed and caught her.  "You fell asleep, so I brought you back here."
Blaze blushed lightly, her body heat rising and burning Sonic.  Sonic let out a slight yell and let her go, patting out a fire on his fur.  Blaze blinked.  "Oh, Sonic, I'm sorry!"
Sonic laughed as he put it out.  "It's nothing, Blaze.  I got more than my fair share of burns when I took that coat of yours off."
Blaze scoffed, folding her arms.  "No one touches the coat, Sonic…"
Sonic shrugged.  "I didn't want it to get wrinkled."
"What would you know about clothes getting wrinkled?"
"One word:  Amy."
Blaze sighed.  "I've only been around her once and I don't see why you put up with her…"
Sonic shrugged.  "Me neither.  That's why I keep running from her."
Blaze couldn't help but laugh.  Sonic smirked.  "Y'know, I forgot how cute your laugh is."
Blaze blinked and blushed again, turning away.  "Anyway… you never answered what you were doing here."
"Oh yeah.  Me and Tails were experimenting on a machine that'll let us go to your dimension any time we want.  Sort of a 'just in case any emergency comes up' thing."
Blaze blinked and turned to him.  "So… you can come see me any time?"
Sonic nodded.  "Yup.  And once all the bugs are worked out, you'll be able to use the Sol Emeralds to come see us!  I bet Cream'll be thrilled at that!  Hey, we can introduce our friends to Marine!"
Blaze glanced down slightly and muttered, "I'll… be able to see you…?"
Sonic tilted his head, looking at her with an eyebrow raised.  "Umm… isn't that what I just said?"
Blaze blinked then nodded.  "Yeah… look, I've got to go… it was nice seeing you again, but I think you should go back to your dimension and tell Tails that it worked… then maybe you could both come back and we could go see Marine."
Sonic smiled and walked off a bit then jerked to a stop and slumped.  "Uhh… small problem with that."
Blaze blinked.  "Um… what is it?"
Sonic laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head.  "We, uh… didn't think of a way of getting me back yet.  I kinda jumped the gun."
Blaze put her palm to her forehead, sighing.  "This is why I hold back my urges…"
Sonic smirked.  "Ah well.  Do you mind if I hang out here while Tails fixes that?  I could help if anything comes up."
"What about your dimension?  What if they need help?"
Sonic shrugged.  "Shadow can take care of himself.  Besides, all my other friends are there, they can handle anything Eggman throws at them."
"Alright…"
Sonic sighed and smiled, shaking his head.  "Blaze, you just gotta learn to loosen up!  Tell ya what, later on when you get done with whatever it is you're doing, let's go to town tonight.  I've got enough rings to pay for a month of chili dogs!"
Blaze looked at the blue hedgehog and smiled, shaking her head.  "Oh… alright… I have to meet with my father soon.  When that's over, we'll go to dinner… but Sonic?"
"Yeah?"
Blaze smirked.  "You have to wear what I choose for you."
Sonic blinked and slumped.  "Aw… alright…"
Blaze grinned.  "I'll be back in a bit… see you later, Blue…"
She dashed off.  Sonic raised an eyebrow.  "'Blue'?  She just sounded like Rouge…"
Sonic shrugged and dashed off, a blue blur.

Sonic growled, rotating his arm around as he walked with Blaze in the town.  "Ugh… I hate suits…"
Blaze laughed lightly.  "If you're going to be in my kingdom, you have to wear clothes…"
Sonic growled slightly.  "Why?  I've never had to before…"
Blaze smiled lightly and sped up a bit.  "Because if you're the prince of the Sol Kingdom, you need to dress like it…"
Sonic blinked, looking at the feline ahead of him.  "The… the what?!"
Blaze grinned, stepping into one of the restaurants.  Sonic stood frozen for a moment before shaking his head and stepping in after her.  She called his name and waved to him from a table in the corner.  Sonic walked over and sat down with her.  "So… what did you mean by that?"
Blaze smiled.  "I meant that people around here have come to think of you as the prince…  And… truth be told…" Blaze lightly blushed as she glanced down.  "So… so have I."
Sonic blinked, looking at her.  "Umm…"
"Blaze?  Sonic?!  Aw, strewth!"
Sonic stiffened and sighed.  "Only one girl I know talks like that…"
Sonic and Blaze both turned to her.  "Marine!"
The raccoon ran at them, tackling them with a hug.  "What in blazes are you two doing here?!"
Sonic smirked.  "We were just about to ask you that.  How're things in the Southern Islands?"
"Ripper as always, mate!  I came 'ere 'cause I got a message from a bloke named Silver about training me!"
(That's right folks… it's random as all hell, but I've decided to make a Silvarine thing.  XD  She seems to have some powers… and I'm making them telekinetic, so that she can have an excuse to be with Silver.  He's gotta have somebody, y'know.)
Sonic raised an eyebrow.  "Silver?  Wonder what he's doing back…"
"Isn't he your friend from the future?" Blaze asked.  Sonic nodded, dashing off a second and coming back with a chili dog, and an extra spicy one for Blaze.  Blaze blinked.  "Where did these come from?"
Sonic took a bite, gesturing with his head to a vendor just outside.  Blaze blinked and let out a sigh, pointing to him with hers.  "Just don't get any on that suit, hear me?"
Sonic raised his hand up, swallowing his bite.  "Cross my heart and hope to dry."
"So what's Sonic doing here?  Lookin' for more adventure, mate?"
Sonic wiped his lip with his glove, letting out a contented sigh, having finished his dog.   "Not exactly… it's either an experiment gone horribly wrong or incredibly right, I can't tell yet."
"You're only saying that because I made you wear the suit.  You know you like being here, Sonic."  Blaze teased.  Sonic smirked and pointed to her dog.  "You just hush up and finish your chili dog before I steal it back from you."
Blaze winked as she took a bite, Sonic looking at Marine.  "You want one too, squirt?"
"Who gives you the right to say that to your captain?!"
Sonic shrugged.  "Didn't know I needed permission to call you short."
Sonic was gone in the blink of an eye before coming back with two more chili dogs, handing one of them to Marine.  Marine grabbed it and took a bite of it.  "Aw, strewth, this is delicious, mate!"
Sonic smirked.  "If they weren't I wouldn't be eating them… 'Mate'."
Blaze smiled and looked at Sonic.  Something about him seemed… different.  He seemed to be a bit more… she struggled for a way to put this.  Toned down, perhaps.  He wasn't jumping up and down the walls like he was at Marine's, when Tails was busy preparing new crafts.  Marine must have noticed it too because she pulled on his ears.  "What's the matter with you, Sonic?  You're not quite as bouncy!  Is my cobber not a boomer no more?"
Sonic looked at Blaze.  "Did you catch any of that?"
Blaze smiled lightly and shook her head.  "Only every 6 words.  But I think she's asking why you're not as energetic as usual."
Sonic nodded.  "Ohh… Mm-hmm, mm-hmm…  It's this stupid suit!"
Blaze laughed.  "You can only take it off when we finish our little date, Sonic."
Sonic sighed.  "Can I at least take the jacket off?"
Marine fell over laughing.  Blaze and Sonic blinked, looking at her.  "What's your problem, shrimp?" Sonic growled out.  Marine kept laughing as she looked at them.  "You… you two sound like you should be here with little ankle biters!"
Blaze and Sonic blinked, looking at each other as they caught on to what she was saying.  They cleared their throats and glanced away from each other, their faces turning red.  Marine only laughed harder.  Sonic stood up and grabbed her by the collar of her shirt.  "It was nice seeing you again Marine.  Why don't you stop by Blaze's castle when you're done training?"
He set her down outside and shut the door, much to Marine's protest.  Sonic pulled against the door as Marine tried to open it, looking at Blaze.  "Well… shall we get going?"
"But we haven't ordered anything from here yet."
Sonic glanced out the window at Marine and shut the Shade, putting up a closed sign, shrugging as he walked back to the table.  "Can you believe that girl?  Saying that we~"
Blaze cleared her throat.  "Can we order now, please?"
Sonic blinked and nodded, putting his hands together, pulling them apart to reveal a large amount of power rings.  Blaze blinked and chuckled, smiling.  Sonic smiled.  "Anything you want.  It's on me."
